Parenting is never easy. Especially when your kids can fly and you can't. several things never even occur to you- such as high places and rules there of won't work with them. This is especially true for Berrets. Their wings are the ultimate loophole.
Here we see Reni carrying her twins out from the kitchen. She found them sitting on top of the fridge eating the cookies from the cookie jar. Needless to say, it gave her quite a fright. Not wanting to frighten them, she coaxed them into her arms.
"What were you two doing up there," she asked.
"We was hungry," Sissy answered. "and you said it was snack time."
"And you saw the cookies I baked for you," Reni sighed.
"Uh-huh," MC nodded.
"But what did I tell you about high places like that," Reni scolded her cubs.
"'Don't climb'," Sissy quoted. "'Ask you or Daddy if we can't reach'."
"Right," Reni nodded.
"But we didn't climb, Mommy," MC pointed out.
"Then how did you and your sister get up there," Reni asked.
She got her answer when she looked down at her cubs. Sissy held out her arms, while MC held out one and pointed to it. Their wings. They could fly!? She didn't know if she should be proud or not, since they learned to fly at such a young age. She looked up and sighed. They didn't break any rules, so they weren't in trouble.
"Where did you two learn to fly," Reni asked.
"Daddy taught us," MC smiled.
"Did he tell you any rules?"
"He said he'd talk to you about it," Sissy answered.
Reni sighed. This was her family. These were her cubs. She loved them with all her heart, and nothing would ever change that. But if this is what she was in for, she needed to come up with some new rules. The Twins' father was treated to left-overs he had to heat up himself, and slept on the ceiling that night.
