I use them for a lot of things... Some of which Christianity completely disagrees with, while I consider them vital.
*nuzzles* Not sure if it's worth continuing this way... If you read art ideas in my profile, you would notice there are all kinds of them... Some are simply sensual... Others are deeply spiritual, like Ascension or the Holy Swan... And with meanings layered so heavily, I don't think anyone would understand them completely without explanation...

Deer are a frequent motif in Christian art and legend, especially among Celtic folk. They also feature in a number of Hebrew Bible and Kabalah stories, including that profound mix of the spiritual and the carnal called the Song of Songs.
Anyhow, I like this picture...very sophisticated, very 1920s, sort of a portrait of a Doe-Rothy Parker engenue. Quite elegent and original.
