I love Skyward Sword. I really enjoyed playing this game and had a lot of fun with it, however; reminding me every single time that my hearts were low got annoying. Once would be okay. But every time?
Ah well. I'm still looking forward to playing on Hero Mode.

Easily worth it. Some things are annoying like Fi, but overall, I really loved what they did. Some things to expect, though:
-There is no Hyrule Field. This is replaced by lots and lots of clouds. The sky world where everything else is accessed. It's interesting, but I enjoyed the ocean from Windwaker more. There's not as many islands to visit like in Windwaker.
-You will revisit old areas. To try and get rid of the "beat a temple, get an item, go to new area," you'll instead be revisiting old areas later and are able to use items you've received to explore a whole major part of them that you missed. It's interesting and well done, but I'm not sure if I like it better or not. It's not bad, it's just a different take on it.
-There are lots and lots of cutscenes in this game which are well done. I liked the humor and pacing of them.
-I thought that they tried to hard with the "instrumental music," or rather, the harp that you play in the game. The background music and other music is great, but I personally didn't like the songs that you "learn" in the game. Just a personal preference.
-You start with 6 hearts I believe, but most enemies in the game do one whole heart of damage which is amazing! In hero mode, they all do double the damage!
So, those are some points about the game I picked out while playing. Mostly nitpicking. Some things I thought were interesting, I liked, or I didn't too much, however; the overall package is completely worth it. I really loved this game. There are a bunch of call backs to other Zelda games, and they tied it together really well. There are some shock moments. They stopped trying to surprise us with "Sheik/Tetra is ZELDA??!"
The only other thing I could tell you is, don't get frustrated with the controls. I have always found Wii remotes to work better in games where I'm not acting like I'm swinging a sword or something. Simple movements are the best. And you'll get used to it.
