So, Nadopt, on DA, is pretty much one of the best adopt maker sever. ; v; she whipped up these absolutely adorable boys for me~! http://nadopt.deviantart.com/art/Pa.....ta13-322722669
<3 <3 <3 They, like all of my other adoptables, will be appearing in my comic (first page halfway done) but it will be a while before half of the cast shows up. So, in the meantime, HERE, LOOK AT THEM. I'm still feeling around for names, but their personalities are pretty concrete, and I have a basis of their backstory.
When the deer was just the prince of his kingdom, and not its king, he did a lot of travelling to different kingdoms on behalf of his father. While in the Rabbit Kingdom, he was pickpocketed by a young bunny. Before his guards could act, the prince, more insulted than anything, charged and attacked the boy. The two fought, but it was of course ended easily by the guards arresting the thief. During his imprisonment, the deer and the rabbit thief exchanged many biting, bitter words. But soon harsh insults turned to idle conversation, and idle conversation became hour-long, in-depth talks about life, the universe, and everything. Soon the two were best friends, and by the time the prince was king, he had fallen in love with him. Whild the deer kingdom, as a whole, had no qualms whatsoever with homosexuality, they were rather strict and traditional in that the royal bloodline needed to stay intact - for a kingdom with two kings, this proved somewhat difficult, especially so seeing as the king refused to lay with anyone but his husband. So they sought the help of a powerful mage. While they got what they wanted, they now owe the spellcaster a steep price. Steeper, perhaps, than they had realized.
I tried to base their personalities, somewhat, off of the animals they represent. They would both prefer peaceful solutions to problems, but both bucks and hares can be startlingly vicious when cornered. The deer king is also, like many bucks, exceedingly protective. I like to imagine that once he cut a bandits hand off for yanking on his bunny boys ear. As for the rabbit, in spite of his new royal position he is still a street-smart fast talker/thief at heart. It makes him a surprisingly good politician, actually.
Both characters belong to me.
