"Well, howdy there, sugar cube!"
Last one for awhile. I like the pose, and hopefully I picked a good color for the background (it was either gonna be green or red, and the red just wasn't quite working for me for some reason).
Had to stay up late on a work night to finish this one because we were gonna make copies of everything the next day. Was worth it, I think.

Hey if you like the red, you could just change the background to something more orange. Sure we'd have still the eyes, but that kind of would make them stand out more which would theoretically not be a bad effect! The Twilight Sparkle picture proofs to me that the background matching the color isn't a rule.
Oh I know, it's just something that's easy to do and looks cool, IMO. I'm big on having the background match the eyes if the eyes are a cool color--I've done that in a lot of my Cyborcat drawings too. At the time I was coloring this, I was expecting to have to do prints of it the next day--unfortunately that fell through, tho, so I COULD still change it. We'll see.
I haven't had the chance to sell any of the MLP ones because I'm doing them for an upcoming convention.
In general, selling prints of my art hasn't been profitable, no--usually I'm lucky if I break even--but I also haven't been doing a lot of super-popular stuff. I'm thinking MLP ones will do better.

I certainly wish you that. I wonder if I'll ever get to sell stuff at conventions, it would certainly at least be neat if it worked. In any case I certainly do approve your determination. I mean I know a lot of pussy-pants that would go crying right after the first failure or would just give up drawing all together.
