Yeah lousy name for a title but oh well.
Anyway here is the first of five pages for
Prowler7 who I must say is an absolute saint for putting up with my slackness this whole time. Loooots of frustration and multiple starts too. I know ya said it matters more that the artist has fun and this was fun but I do sincerely apologize again Prowler.
Now I actually feel like I can do comics but no I'm not taking anymore just yet. I'm gonna see if I can finish off another commission first. Though pretty sure I will never again be working on a page in one sitting as I did today.. I'm surprised I can even still type >___<;
anywho:
art & Aris © me
Rodent ©
Prowler7
..also just realized Rodent's front teeth are missing *facepalms*
~~~~~~~~~~
Rodent and Aris Blacktail find themselves taking shelter in a cave while a snowstorm rages outside and despite having fur Rodent isn't coping as well as Aris, who being used to living in the mountains keeps a steady temperature depite the freezing conditions. He notices Rodent is shivering and queries if he is alright, to which the rat replies he's freezing and seeing the sticks bundled up in front of them he asked Aris if he could light them. Unfortunately for the rat, Aris replied he could not, not without proper fuel..
*squeaks and giggles* Oh wow. I love the look to this.
Opening with the outside shot of the cave entrance in the snowstorm, both looks marvelous, and beautifully sets the stage for the events to follow.
Once inside, the characters are wonderfully captured, with their expressions full of emotion. I just love the way they're sitting there, carrying with it that sense of tenderness and concern. Poor Rodent, stuck shivering and cold like this. :)
I am really looking forward to seeing how the rest of this turns out. <3
*hugs*
This really looks fantastic, and you know there's no reason to apologize. RL always has its ups and downs, and the last thing I'd want is for you to feel more stressed because of a commission I had gotten from you. The goal was always to help 'you' out when you needed it and because of that, I've always only wanted this commission to be something fun for you. Perhaps a bit challenging to keep it fresh and exciting to work on, but it was never meant to cause any distress or sleepless nights.
I'm eager to see how this all plays out in the next pages, but just be sure to enjoy doing them. Have fun with it and don't fret over the little things.
The art looks wonderful and is something you should be happy and proud of.
