This is
Insertpenname's Raffle win.
This is a hell of a way to start my first raffle, no? Sorry if I got a few details wrong on the Xenos; I'm used to writing for my own characters and creatures. Otherwise, I think this came out pretty damn well. Enjoy.

This is Police Corporal Christopher, reporting in. Perhaps for the last time. I was betrayed by my superiors, and now I’ll have to fight against them. But in the way I do it... I have recorded what happened, as best as I can. I thought I did well under the circumstances, but please, read and decide for yourself.
I didn’t have much with me, just a small automatic rifle slung on my back- I had to expect a fight. My superiors said they had received data about there being illegal drug deals inside the old interior of the city. The city- called drably Alphatown after being mining station Alpha- was built on an old mining facility, and the underground was full of tunnels and rusting wreckage. Oh yeah- the poor and the drug dealers were stuck in there, so it was a literal underground in two ways.
There was a black market for all kinds of things- From real ham to the drug called “Rush”. I’ve been down there for some real meat, not this “Meat extract” shit that they give us- but when I see a drug deal, I take it down. Alphatown is a twisted little place; a makeshift city because of population problems. The people who had money were mostly corrupt, and the few that weren’t had to hide their friendliness. Some police weren’t very good at their job, others didn’t give a damn. I did, so I took the tip that there was a drug deal in C-Sector, near one of the old drills that used to mine for different minerals.
The streets were dirt, and the buildings were simple, easily transported ones. A few were made to last- but only for the richest men of this side of the damn planet. Most lived in old metal cargo carriers or the tunnels. The tunnels, as said before, were the homes to the worst of us- the poor and the lost. The tunnels were old and weak, and there would be deaths without anyone on the overland noticing. It was like a whole other world down there.
I noticed a few bystanders step away from me as I walked down the sidewalk. A few old cars rolled past me on the dirt road, their sides untouched by a car wash for years. Most were trucks, anything with 4WD, but there were a few battered cars here and there. Most walked or took a bike with good tires- cheaper that way.
My rifle obviously frightened a few people- The police around here were known to take down poor bystanders for little reason, so they had a reason to be afraid. Many were begging on the side of the road, most of them hungry and tired from a long walk through the dust. Some had just come here via the spaceport, hoping for more room or the chance at some valuable minerals left behind by the previous miners, and had discovered that there wasn’t much here but broken spirits. The few who did find minerals got rich, the only others with any cash around here were the descendants of the miners who worked at Alphatown before it was Alphatown.
I found an entrance in C-Sector- A boarded up entrance that looked alot like a old root cellar. I gave the boards something they’d never forget- My boot.
The tunnel was dark- the underground poor and drug dealers were overlooked by the overland’rs, as they called us below. I had packed a flashlight, so I switched that on and mounted it on my rifle, which I had out.
The tunnel was at a steady incline, and the floor was littered with shreds of metal and other things I really didn’t want to see. Into the Underland.
After nearly half an hour of walking in the darkness I cam across a lighted tunnel. Well, sort of- The lights were flickering, one point bright as hell, and at the next so dim you couldn’t see more than two inches in front of your nose. It was obviously on the outskirts of the poor section of town, because of the smashed ramshackle dwelling made from wooden boards and metal poles. There were a few smashed crates and one kicked over barrel, and one dead body, stripped of clothing. The old man was slumped against the wall, nude and with a large gash in his neck. whatever clothing he had must of been rags, this killing seemed to be a squabble over food; one of the crates smelt like rotten oranges.
I closed the man’s eyes and continued on, but I changed my path to the side tunnel, where the attackers seemed to come from. There were a few footprints in the dust, going back and forth- same shoes. There was also a pair of footprints that had no shoes, but on the way back they had what seemed to be battered sneakers. Stolen from the man, I would presume.
I looked down the other tunnel- darkness and no sign of life but claw marks in the walls, floor, and ceiling.
'Not going in there.’ I muttered, switching off my flashlight. I went down the lit tunnel.
I noticed a few ramshackle huts along the side of the walls, and a few larger ones in the tunnels that branched off. All the poor sods who lived in the huts that saw me backed away, like I was some predatory beast. they were scared to the brink, they had lived through alot. They knew how to handle themselves. To show that I was friendly, I put my rifle on my back. One- A woman wrapped in a moldy blanket and wearing demin pants that were missing half of one leg came to me.
'Do you have any food, sir?’ She asked. I shook my head.
'Please, sir. We’re starving here. I have children.’ The woman said. I noticed that one of her arms was injured badly- looked broken, but it wasn’t in a sling.
'I don’t know what to say. I’m just here to take down a drug gang.’ I replied.
'Thing is, I haven’t heard of any drug dealers around here for ages. I don’t know if they’re still here.’
'I was told that they were in C-sector.’
'C-sector was closed off due to a herd of beasts taking residence in part of it. Sir, I think you were misinformed.’
That’s not good. Did I get betrayed by my own superiors? May as well find out. 'Thanks for the help.’ I said. I tossed her a five credit coin- enough to buy a few days worth of protein pills. Those things tasted like bat shit, but they worked as a meal. there were cheap as well- easy way to survive for the ones with little chance.
'Thank you sir, thank you!’ She said, waving me off. 'C-sector is about a mile down this tunnel, the way you’re going! Good luck!’
'Thanks!’ I replied, picking up the speed. With some persuasion, the people around here can be of alot of help.
A few minutes later, I stopped at an intersection. There was a slightly better looking person looking at me, huffing and puffing from a long dash. He was scratched up and carried a knife with him, but he looked friendly enough.
'Excuse me, sir; Do you have a extra bite to eat?’ He asked. I shook my head- and he lunged at me, knife drawn! I grabbed him and performed a body slam on him. The hunting knife he was carrying slid away, right into the hands of another goon. I kicked the original guy with the knife in the back of the head with my steel-toed boots; I heard a crack when my boot connected with his skull.
I jumped out of the way of a barrage of bullets, returning fire from behind a pillar of rock and dirt. Thankfully, these klutzes were untrained and just about a good of a shot as a pig with a five-iron. I used three shots- one missed, another put a hole in his foot, and the last bullet got lodged in his neck. Of course, there was another one...
A bullet grazed my arm as I spun around the pillar, getting out of the way of the shots. This other one- A guy who looked about 80 with the rags of a military uniform- Was a good shot. He seemed to be a veteran, but he lost his salary for some reason. Damn, that shot hurt.
I noticed he was standing right under a old pipeline of water. I shot a hole in it, and then it burst, spilling the water over him. He was stunned long enough for me to get a good shot to his face.
'Sorry, old man.’ I said, rubbing my wound and reloading my gun. No, not at once.
The first raider was still alive- I had kicked him just below his skull, breaking his spine. He was paralyzed, and dying fast.
'Guh- Why... Why can’t I move... move anything?’ He muttered though his own lifeblood.
'Because I broke your spine.’ I replied. I finished him off with a single shot to the temple. Quick and painless.
These raiders looked like normal raiders, not drug addicts. I searched them- A few bucks, some shells for their rifles, a key chain of a cartoon extinct legendary animal called the panda; nothing important. These bastards were common in the Underland, perhaps why the locals are so poor. Like highwaymen, just disguised as the normal local.
A few minutes later, I found the boarded-up entryway into C-sector. “Boarded-up” Is really just a saying, though; It was blocked by large metal plates.
'How do I get this damn thing open?’ I asked myself. I picked up an old metal pole and swung it at the metal plates. The plates were weak, but my makeshift basher was weaker. It snapped in half.
I opened up a door into an adjacent hallway, because from what I had learned, there were three entrances into C-sector.
The tunnel was dark, so I traveled quickly. There was scuttling nearby, I didn’t really want to see what was making it.
The next door was open- somewhat. The ramshackle plating had been torn open by a sharp pair of claws, and it left a hole about 4 feet square, and I used that to enter through. Thing is, was that creature who tore it going in or coming out?
My flashlight was needed here. The place hadn’t been maintained in what seemed ages- if the tunnels were maintained by anyone at all. Part of a wall had collapsed, filling up half of the main room with dirt. It didn’t completely fill because of the massive mineshaft in the way; The dirt had basically drained into it. Probably killed a dozen or so in the collapse...
There was a loud scuttling nearby me- I shot a few bullets to where it was. Hit noting but a rusty can.
'Who- or what’s- There?’ I asked, swinging my rifle around so I could see everything. The area used to be a marketplace, but everyone packed up shop and left when the wall fell over. Don’t blame them.
So my superiors said there were drugies around here somewhere. But where? Not the marketplace. In the tunnels where people lived, perhaps? Or one of the old stations? Those were all metal, made to last, and easily defended. Room for dozens in there as well. I’ll have to start there first.
I was going down another old hallway. The lights were flickering occasionally, but I still needed my flashlight.

Damn, I was getting scared. I started walking faster.

'Perhaps a slight jog?’ I muttered to myself, doing exactly that. There was a metal door down the hall.

SSSSSSssssssss...
I started dashing for that door, blasting bullets behind me. Something was behind me, but it hasn’t attacked yet. Is it trying to make me piss my pants, or what?
I didn’t hit anything when I was running for the door. I slammed the door behind me and leaned on it, just as it was jerked hard by something slamming into it.
'Damn it, why the hell couldn’t they send me backup down here?...’ I muttered.
CRUNCH!
'Fuck!’ I cried out as a massive dent appeared about an inch above my head. This door was a foot thick!
CRASH!
A black, armored claw appeared through a sudden hole in the door, grasping for something; presumably my head. It pulled back- and in responsive I put the barrel of my rifle out the hole and sprayed a load of bullets out. I hit something then... And I got thrown across the room because of it. The door was smashed open, and a beastie appeared. Wait, I recognized those from the old history books...
'XENO!’ I cried, blasting it with an onslaught of bullets. Then I had to reload...
I ducked a vicious claw swing form the Xeno, and a tail swing. It didn’t seem to want to kill me, just stun. But why? I thought these creatures were supposed to be creatures of instinct.
I reloaded my gun just as the seemingly-spring-loaded tongue went flying out and put a hole in my shoulder.
'ARGH!’ I screamed, letting loose a massive amount of rounds into the roof. It hurt like someone just hit my with a sledgehammer there, and it stung all around to boot.
'Damn you bastard. If I’m to dye here, I may as well take you out with me.’ I said. The Xeno was just standing there, not acting. I lifted my rifle to its head- And then a massive burst of pain ripped through my hand. No- hands.
'AUGH! Christ!’ I cried out, cradling my hands. I looked at them- The fingers had sharpened into black claws, and the hand went totally black. Both of them did. My middle finger merged with my index finger, And then the pain stopped in them. They became hard, armored.
'Damn it, I’ve heard rumors of this...’ I said, pulling myself up, and grabbing the discarded rifle.
'...But I didn’t think them true. Didn’t think anything of them, to be honest.’ I leveled the rifle- And then the Xeno batted it out of my hand lighting quick, sending it flying through an observation window. That window looked over a mine shaft. Bet ya it’s still falling now.
'GAWD DAMN IT!’ I cried out, almost in a hilarious tone. Four large spines had shoved themselves out of my back, tearing up my shirt and jacket. I discarded those, noticing that the black armored skin from my hands was spreading up my arms. The bite was also spreading blackness.
'Damn you...’ I sputtered as my teeth fell out and new ones grew in. These were quite different.
'Wordsss ssshall not help you.’ It hissed.
'Oh, so now you speak.’ I said. I doubled over in pain as a massive slender tail grew out from my backside. It was about seven feet long, and easily fatal to anyone who ended up on its spike.
I felt my feet twitching- badly. I threw off my boots at the Xeno who bit me. One he blocked, the other bounced off of his shiny head. Damn it, I’m calling him a him now?
'Nor will your bootsss do much.’
'It made me feel better!’ I spat at him as my feet grew into clawed talons with two toes on the front and back. The black on them spread fast.
Pain was raging its own merry way through my bloodstream like wildfire. I had to deal with it- There wasn’t much I could do.
'So, was there ever any drug dealers down here?’ I asked, feeling my tongue change. Oh god, not that...
'For your human weaknesssesss? The onesss who sell ruin in a bottle? No- there hasssn’t been any here sssince we arrived, and that was nearly a human year ago.’ The Xeno responded. God damn, my superiors said they got the news only a few hours before they told me! I’ve been betrayed.
'Damn... I wasss betrayed.’ I said with a new hiss of my own. I fell flat on my face because my now totally black and armored legs became double-jointed; digigrade I think it was called. My hair almost evaporated as my chest became hard and armored. My pants somehow stayed on.
'It ssseemsss that your leadersss knew that we were down here. They want usss dead!’ The Xeno said.
'Sssorry, I was misssinformed.’ I said. I was flooded with pain as my skull cracked, and I did a face plant into the floor. Darkness.
'Wake up...’
I tried to open my eyes, but I had none... I still saw, but in black and white. Echolocation? There were heat signatures as well. Infrared? But how?..
I was totally transformed, totally altered. I was in a room with several dozen fellow Xenos.
'We’ve ssset up a war party. Pleassse, jussst call me Nok. And yesss, it is againssst your ex-sssuperiorsss.’ He said. I struggled up, noticing there was a large metal door instead of one wall.
'They ssshall join the Hive sssoon. Welcome to the Hive, brother. It isss the time to tessst your worth.’ I nodded, watching the door open to the Overland.
'Only attack who attacksss you! Anyone who our new recruit sssaysss isss one of the onesss who betrayed him, get that one.’ Nok said to the others in the room. He turned back to me.
'Feeling up to fighting?’ He asked.
'Againssst who betrayed me? Of courssse.’ I hissed in a reply.
'Well then... AAATTTAAACCCKKK!’ Nok cried as the door hummed open. We dashed out.
Come and get me, humans.

I really like the atmosphere in this, and your descriptions were very vivid! This is definitely one of the best Xeno TFs I've read (and I've read A LOT). ^^
I kind of like how Chris started extending his "S"s mid-conversation. Nice touch! The only thing I wasn't too keen on was N'oktaalisss's portrayal. To be brutally honest, I wasn't expecting that he'd been a full-fledged character in this, and his characterization in here clashes with mine. Nok's...not nice...to anyone. Even his own kind. He's manipulative and classy to a fault. I usually view him as a seldom seen puppetmaster-type character.
Anyways, still loved it. Thank you very, very much for doing this for me. :)

Thanks, my friend. When I start a raffle, I intend to finish it. Sorry about Nok not being a full character, but, if you noticed, there weren't any but Chris. And Nok was just welcoming Chris into the local Xeno populous, not really being nice. He was brought in because he was a Police man, and he could fight. If they brought a normal man in, that new Xeno wouldn't be able to fight nearly as well. I just realized- Nok's personality bit, where you told me about that, was lost somewhere. I kept the first note you sent me, which was the story detail. Well, it was a free story anyhow. I finished the second half in one long stretch, because I knew that you'd probably be waiting.
