Moonlight (Luna)

This mysterious blend of gin, vodka, and triple sec chills the pallet like a crisp night breeze. Don't over indulge though, the fun might be doubled but you'll wake up feeling like you were subjected to the royal Canterlot voice for an hour!

Instructions

In a mixing glass filled with ice, stir together

1 oz gin (I used Gordon's but Bombay Sapphire might work well too)
1 oz Vodka
1 oz Triple sec (I use cointreau, you should too. Your taste buds will thank you!)

Strain into a chilled Cocktail (martini) glass and serve.


I started out trying to make a dark night sky style drink with coke and rum. Nothing I tried worked and I got really frustrated. Then I thought about making something themed more on the moon than the night, and this is the result. I'm happy with how it turned out. The Gin and Cointreau blend well together and the Vodka mellows everything down. I don't want it to be too flavorful, but more have the essence of citrus and juniper. Just enough to tease the pallet.
