RIP Jerry Nelson.

It's a true punch in the guts when you find out that a person behind such an integral part of your childhood has passed away.

Jerry Nelson, of course, was the puppeteer behind Gobo Fraggle, Kermit's nephew Robin, Floyd Pepper, Emmet Otter, The Count, and so many more memorable Muppet characters.

He provided such an emotional impact with his character's musical numbers. Floyd Pepper's renditions of New York State of Mind and While My Guitar Gently weeps are my favorite versions of these songs.

He will be greatly missed.


The title of this comes from a song from the last episode of Fraggle Rock. It just seemed fitting.
