This is my latest HO scale locomotive purchase on eBay. It is a BRAWA made Kö 1 shunting locomotive for the DB during Era 3 (1945-1970). The locomotive has a pick-up shoe underneath, so it is Marklin or AC compatible.

I've always liked small diesel locomotives because many years ago my friend Jim and i visited an apple ranch in Northern California, and I got to drive a 1" = 4" scale "Plymouth" yard switcher powered by a Kubota two cylinder engine. Much to my surprise I was small enough that I could look through the front windows of the cab. This tiny locomotive might be perfect for a large scale "European" scale working model. Not quite as complex or flashy as the steam engines, but great for hauling freight and supplies around the "Yard." Thanks.
No problem. From what I understand, the Kö 1 was developed by the DRG (World War 2 era German railway) as a freight shunting engine. Many ended up with the DB (Deutsche Bundesbahn) in West Germany after the war, while others ended up in East Germany and other Soviet controlled countries at the time like Poland and the Czech Republic.
