I'll remove this in a day or so but I thought it was funny as fuck. XD
This is what happens when I try to open a can of tuna with a pop-top opener instead of a proper one.
Dear god, I'm pathetic.
I can top this, sadly.
I toasted bread on the bottom of the only pot I had. NOT A PAN. A POT. then maneuvered it out of the pot with a plastic knife and then microwaved a grilled cheese and.. and... UGH.

I've sliced my fingers open on more than one occasion because my parents had a very old and somewhat rusty can opener. It was dull and it always failed the open some spot, but pushed it in, so it was impossible to get out unless you used a knife or something.
I know the frustration ;~;

Not as bad as my friend.
He had a proper can opener. With the little lever you turn, so that you get a round disc of metal and an open can.
This is what he produced.

Often when I'm out of a can opener, I use an old knife I'm not using anymore.
I stab the knife into an edge of the can, on the top. I take care to not stab my hand or any other parts of my body in the process. Then, I pull the knife toward me (or in whichever way the knife's cutting edge is facing) which makes a clean cut on the can's top.
Then, I do the same process on the opposite side of the cut (as to create a + cut). the knife will half-cut the top before it hits the line that's already been cut. you repeat the process once more, but on the other side, thus making your + cut. when you're done, pry apart the top and voila, you've got your food!

I've used the same tool with the same result.
have also used knives of varying degrees of sharpness,
screwdrivers (both phillips and flat)
P-38
and my all time favorite, a pair of pliers (that I later used to "clip" my toenails)
sadly the pliers worked better than the pop top thing.
God the things I will do to get into a can of tuna...
