From the notes of Dr. Matthew Graves
... continued teaching #085 to walk today. She still stumbles a little but promptly gets up every time she falls. We have started her on solid food and she seems to prefer chicken and pork over goat. We even fed her a few raspberries which I believe she enjoyed. She has begun making short peeping sounds when placed in her assigned cage but has otherwise remained very quiet save for a soft purr-like sound when stroked. Dr. Maylord suggested that we attempt to teach her multiple languages while she is still able to learn them easily. He seems to have very high hopes for this project and we are all doing our best to make his dream a reality.
The heads of the department came to see the progress on the project recently. #085 tried to hide behind Dr. Maylord for most of the assessment. At one point she started growling like a cat, obviously feeling threatened by the strangers in the lab. Dr. Maylord took her hand and gave her a very stern look, much the way a parent would look at a misbehaving child. She continued to hold his hand for the rest of the assessment and remained quiet. These actions seem to indicate that she is indeed learning.
