Selling these Tattoo Eye-cons to help out a couple of friends. You're looking at $30 for the unique inked image (because they're so freakin' complicated, but oh so much fun), or $50 for a colored version (or just $20 to color this as you want it) If you're interested in getting one of your own please contact me via meakitty with the type of eye, the type of flow (markings) and the kanji you want. Also if you want it added like in the first one: http://www.furaffinity.net/view/8698604/ or incorporated like the second one: http://www.furaffinity.net/view/8698611/
Speaking of which... why am I doing these?
frostbight and his wife Annie have 2 beautiful dogs they rescued and provide a loving and stable (if somewhat crazy) home for.
""Penny was adopted in July of 2009. The day she was adopted she weighed 17 pounds (half the weight she should have been), with snot running out of her nose and more lethargic than I've ever seen a pup before. After talking with the staff of the shelter, penny had been picked up by animal control just a week earlier. She was found, sickly and malnourished. She showed no signs of coming from a home, and presumed to have been a stray from the start or a very very young age. The day after she was adopted we were told she had bronchitis and went through 3 treatments of medication before she was truly heathy.
Penny never experienced puppy-hood. She did not understand how to play, and soon showed the signs of food hoarding and being abused. She was scared of most men, noises and would run and hide if you brought out any form of broom, or something that looked like a stick. But she was triumphant and worked hard at her doggy training.
When we got out second pup, Kuma, She was an amazing role model, teaching him to potty outside, helping him in his own training, and becoming a great older sister. Kuma also taught Penny to have fun! Penny began playing, for the first time, truly playing. The two of them would run around the house, nipping at each others legs and pouncing one another.
Anyone who meets Penny can see the amazing qualities that she embodies. She is an amazing dog, who has learned to love and be a true companion to myself, my husband and our second dog (Kuma). I couldn't imagine life without her.""
Penny has a torn ligament in her knee, leading to an instability of the knee joint and needs what is called a Tibial Plateau Leveling Osteotomy (TPLO) Surgery. She is basically going to have a metal plate implanted to help minimize the slope of her knee joint. A good reference to the surgery can be viewed at http://www.vetsurgerycentral.com/tplo.htm
We don't have a concrete estimate for the cost of the surgery, but it will be at least $2000.... the vet thinks the surgery should be done ASAP
frostbight has more information for you in his journal: http://www.furaffinity.net/journal/3778746/
If you have some spare cash you can donate to frostbight's paypal to help them cover the cost, and if you donate $20 or more I'll make you a lovely "eye-con" like this OR actually buy some full priced art from me (via meakitty) and I'll donate every cent I get til they have more than enough to cover it.
Just let me know you've donated to them, or just provide me with a copy of the receipt from paypal or something, when you place your order for art. ^_^
