Fire dose'nt cleens, it blackens.
Recently, My home has been under attack from three sides by wild fires. Fire storms are nothing new to anyone who lives in California long enough.
I was evacuated from the house i was staying at, the fire came withing a few yards of buring the place down. Luckily i had laft in tiem with the cats i was caring for. I evacuated to my mothers house, of which was placed un evacuation alert not more than 3 hours later. As it turns out, teh fire got as close as a quarter mile to my home. The image is on behalf of all the people who exspiranced fire storm 2003 and fire storm 2007, As natral as it is to have fire storms, it still sucks to loose your home to one.
Santa Annas can be dangerouse, and teh fires they start even more dangerouse. You cant stope them from happening, no more than you can stop the sun from rising or setting. So be prepaird and have a plan.
this image was to have a fire wind effect, hence the pose of my fursona wiht the wind to my back.
unfortunitly i was not able to pull it off win OC. and after 7 hours with Tao, i just cant muster up the streanth to finnish it right now. But its something i felt like posting depsite the incomplete nature of it all.
As you can see, i have made a few improvments in my style. and in form. Tao (heavy pawd) me with the Color and he did the pants.
I would like to be cretiqued on this, but i ask that the IDEA behind the drawing be left alone, Out of respect for the people who were affected by this event.
im happy about how some of this drawing came to life.. the pose, the proportions, the fur... but i know mechanicaly there are soeme issues. Please help me to become a better artest by voiceing your opinion on this.. Thank you

I think that you should just start working on figure drawings, or drawing things that you see in real life, and just start drawing, and drawing, and drawing them over again.
That would be the best practice for angles and proportions of the human body. After you feel really comfortable drawing a fluid, quick style, get comfortable by drawing shapes, blocking things out, looking at multiple reference by good artists, or real life anatomy to get used to the style you want most.
I'm working on drawing fire myself for a portfolio that I have to make, and you did a really good job between the blackness and the contrast of the bright red and black to make it look like strands of fire.
I have been seeing the news about this, and this is real. One million have been evacuated since last week, and one has died in the fire. That's a really good job on the Firemen's side.
I feel really bad that you had to evacuate in fear of losing your home, but thankfully it was far enough way for it to not catch fire.
Wind was on your side *grin*.
I see improvement in a lot. Textures, the Background, Shading, and even how the back curves on the profile shot that you have.
But you still have a lot of work to do, to get to the point where it's no longer a matter of skill, but how you want to draw something. Hell, I have a far ways off to get relatively close to painting something exactly on my mind.
You did a good job, and you convey a good message to those in California that had to evacuate and lose everything.
I'm going to move close to where you live as well, in Valencia for a college if I am accepted.
Maybe I can see you once, when I have the time.
*thumbs up*

Tremor, it looks just fine :) Art is about expression through imagery, and from what I can see, you did one hell of a job doing that here.
You really have a way of capturing certain things in your pieces too, especially through the eyes and body language. I wish you and everyone on cali the best man
