Yup, I finally made my sword that I originally drew back in 2007 (Posted in 2009)
Original: http://www.furaffinity.net/view/2365070/
Then
Jagwar redrew it back in 2010: http://www.furaffinity.net/view/3268108/
And since I have a job now, I saved up a bit of change to buy the materials for this (Believe it or not, I spent like $16 on the materials, and barely even got to using half of them, so this cost like $8 to make)
And I'm beyond proud of how this came out, so I thought I'd upload it here for people to see
Demensions
47in length x 1.5 inch thickness
Holding it upright, from the blue band to the spike tips is 6 1/2 inches, minus the spikes is about 4 1/2 inches
And the handle's thickness is about 1 3/4 inches
Materials used:
http://www.walmart.com/ip/Ozark-Tri.....-Blue/16783660
Camping Pad from walmart (Only $7.47. Dimensions 72in x 20in x 1/2in)
Blue and gray duct tape
Black electric tape
5/8in wooden pole, 3ft in length (Next time I'm gonna use a 1/2 inch)
A sharpie to draw on the foam with
A knife to cut the shapes out with
Hot glue gun, with like 13 glue sticks used (Wanted to be sure to keep it together)
A fuck load of free time
Time taken: About 3 1/2 - 4 1/2 hours
And for a note on the sword's name. It's called Fatal flaw for a few reasons
It's two handed and somewhat heavy (Not really IRL, it's 1.24 pounds for the one I just made), so when it does connect with an enemy it deals huge damage, but due to the weight it also leaves the sword handler wide open for an attack, and has no hilt/hand guard to protect the user's hands.
Plus I like the name and thought it sounded cool when I drew it back when I was in 10th grade in highschool :3
