The Tractor is a diverse species which typically inhabits rural areas. The tractor has adapted to survive off a variety of foods. Larger species consume crops like corn. However smaller species, such as this one, survive off of grass. There is even a dwarfed species which has physically adapted to sustain itself off of the shorter less plentiful grass of the suburban united states, as well as Britain and parts of Australia and, though very rare, even in some parts of Europe.

All species of tractors have a symbiotic relationship with the human. Often times, in exchange for other preferred foods like oil, gasoline or diesel the tractor will give the human foods such as corn from its local food source.

The tractor is an herbivore, though it is very territorial so bloodshed is not uncommon if another tractor tries to feed in its territory. They usually live in wooden or metal nest structures above ground, though a very few live out in the elements. Here were see a medium sized one which grazes mainly on tall grass, guarding its territory. This one survives in a preserve where it has enough space and food supply to sustain itself.

Most species of Tractor are not endangered. However, due to human encroachment large tractors are very rare here and in some other parts of the United States, and even extinct in some areas. Dwarf lawn tractors, which can survive more easily in human settlement, then move in on the territory formerly held by larger species.
