Vanessa is one the most unpredictable members of the team. Unlike Eddie who has a method behind it all, however, it's largely due to her reliance on her Assist move to "borrow" other teammates' moves. With her philosophy of "A true actress can adapt to any role", she would much rather take this approach rather than expend the effort to learn any moves on her own, even though it often produces less than ideal results.
If all else fails though, she does know a couple of moves that she reserves for those opponents who truly annoy her. More than a few unlucky students who made the mistake of cracking a joke about her weight have ended up on the wrong end of a Body Slam. Or two. Or three.
RANDOM FACT: Vanessa only knows those four moves because apparently Glameow and Purugly have very, very few TM/HM moves that they can actually learn. I had to guess with Shadow Claw only because there's a picture of a Glameow using that move in the anime.
