I've got plans. Big plans.
Whether anyone else in the academy knows it or not, Team Showtime is going to be a lot more than just a page in the class yearbooks. You saw how well we did last year, right? Yeah, so we didn't dominate, but that's no big deal. Even the world champions don't have spotless records, after all. I'm telling you now, we're gonna be the team, the one that gets talked about years after we've graduated. And you know what? I've got it all planned out, right down to the last detail.
I can't take all the credit though. My team is the most important part of this plan, and I've made sure that I've got the right people for the job. Maybe we can't punch through walls or fling boulders around, but come on... no one's impressed by brute strength these days. These days you have to entertain the crowd to get over, and who wants to sit around and watch a bunch of big dumb guys slugging each other for five minutes when there are teams like mine that can put on a real show?
Soon now, all the pieces will come together. And I love it when a plan comes together.
Eddie cares more about impressing the crowds than acutally winning, so he rarely attempts a stand-up fight unless forced into it. His style is centered around using moves that keep throwing his opponent off balance. Not only does it make them more vunerable and give them less of a chance to predict his next attack, but it also gives him a little time to get "his" audience worked up as well.
So far this strategy has gotten his team a fair amount of noteriety, with mixed reactions among the student body. He's earned a number of fans all right, largely among the new kids in the freshman class, but some of the less popular students have been getting irritated with his constant showboating during battles.
RANDOM FACT: Yes, Eddie's personality is very much inspired by a certain person in "sports entertainment" who also has the last name Bischoff. :)
