Those brown shades look awesome! I used to find brown the hardest colour in digital art.

You'll get used to it eventually, I found it much easier when I started using EasyPaintTool SAI. They give you a colour wheel to pick colours off. For now, as you're practising, try an eyedropper on other pictures to get the feel ^_^

Going between red/orange/yellow is the best place to find those colours. =3
