Commission - Digi-colors - Nialaa - finals
I spent an extra long time on this one, I won't lie. And, not for the "obvious reasons", either. ;P
I won't go into all the details (they're pretty obvious upon looking at the finished piece if you ask me), but suffice it to say I'm REEEEAAAALY proud of this piece. :)
Credit where it is due!!! I have
Twilight316 to thank for additional touch-ups around the rocks, fixing some slight lighting issues (sunlight tones can make a HUGE difference which brought out Nialaa's colors and separated her from the grass tones quite a bit more), and overall, supporting me in all this crazy stuff I've been doing lately. ;)

I was staffing MFF, and I was escorting people to pick up their winning bids on Sunday. I had to stop someone, because I saw them pick up this piece. I was in the stream at one point while you were working on this. unfortunately, the finished piece was only a typing paper sized print, so most of the fine detail was lost, I don't care how fine detail you can see, this was worked on (for those that don't know) at about ten thousand pixels. the short way across. So yeah, fine detail, and...can't make out the digital strokes. I was actually sad for a second they bought it so small, but nothing I could do about it.
I sold that small print more for the sake of testing the waters, to be honest.
It's capable of printing at a much larger size, which I have every intention of doing, as I'm working on a second half to this piece. It will be a two-parter, which someone to the other side of the small brook that's implied on the left side of this pic. :)
When it's finished, I intend to have a much larger print made of both pieces. At that point, it will be brought and presented for sale in the AnthroCon art show. :)
By the way, I was staffing at MFF too, in case you didn't know. ;) I don't suppose you know who won it, do you? I never did find out.

some guy with a badge number in the two or three hundreds, I think. they all just faded into a blur except the one woman I talked to during Chicon World con, and this one guy (I think it waas a guy?) I saw getting something explicit in the dealers room. I'm pretty sure it wasn't either of them.
