Something about the weather just wasn't sitting right with Psych. She stared outside the window, eyeing the dark clouds as if her glare could scare them away... but her power of intimidation just wasn't that strong and they stayed exactly where they were. A voice saying her name brought her back down to reality and she turned to look at Remy who sat across from her "If you want to learn how to play, you need to pay attention... or else I'm leaving." she frowned.
Psych sighed and rolled her shoulders back in order to try and make herself relax "Okay, okay, show me again." she told her, forcing herself to focus on her fingers as the gray wolf plucked away at her bass. But it was hard focusing with the growing worry in the pit of her stomach.
When she was done, Psych drifted her fingers across the cords of her own instrument, unsuccessfully trying to copy what she'd just done.
Remy seemed to be getting frustrated "No no! Thats not how you do it-"
But she's cut short by Psych "Did you hear that?" she asked, looking nerveously towards the window again. She could have sworn she'd heard it...
Remy furrows her brow and glances at the window too "Heard what? I didn't hear a damn thing." she said.
Psych swallowed the tight knot in her stomach and turned to Remy. She tried to focus on what they were doing; trying to teach her how to play the bass guitar. She tries again to play the cords, plucking the thick strings half-heartedly.
But again she failed.
Letting out an impatient little growl, Remy sighed and shook her head again "Lets take a break... Obviously your mind is somewhere else." she muttered as she stood, taking her guitar to the case she usually kept it safely tucked away in. Psych didn't seem to even notice, as her eyes were right back on the window, watching the lightening flash. Her heart stopped as she counted the seconds.
A rumbling filled the room just as Remy was heading towards the door.
Almost instantly Psych was on her feet, her hand clutching tightly to Remy's wrist. When the canine turned to look at the cat, she couldn't remember seeing such... panic. Like the entire world was under attack "Psych..? Whats wrong?" and another, smaller rumble made it's presense known. Psych noticeable flinched.
"Please... don't go. Don't leave me alone." she begged. Her parents were gone for the day... she'd be left alone with the beast if Remy were to leave. Her grip was tightening on her the other girl's wrist.
When a louder bit of thunder shook the house, Psych let go and almost instantly dropped to the floor, covering her head, and shutting her eyes tightly. She felt so weak, letting this girl see her like this... but she'd rather her see her in this pathetic state than be left alone.
When Psych went to the floor, instantly Remy put her guitar case down and sent to her side, looking around the room to try and find something that might help. She spotted an old boom box that was sitting on Psych's desk. Like she'd read her mind, Psych pointed it out without opening her eyes "That there, get it and t-turn it on. It runs on batteries... so if the power goes out it'll still play." she told her. Remy did just that, getting up and grabbing it and bringing it right back to where Psych was still sitting. She turned it on and turned the music up as loud as it could go. She startled herself when she turned it on and the music started blaring but that made it perfect for this situation.
She sits next to the purple feline, worry creasing her forehead as she watched her cringe with every roll of thunder that shook the house. She was suddenly glad she'd not left earlier... or else this poor girl would be dealing with this alone.
Psych is mine.
