This was made for the character design class, I think. Wait no, it was the semiotics class, yeah. Though I used the character on the Character design proje-... nvm.
Eldrid Brandstar, a foxen fire sorcerer. That thingie in his neck is called the Heart of the forest. His staff is a stick that he keeps alive using his magic. etc. etc. etc.

When fox magic aprendices come of age, they are tasked to find a stick, as peculiar as they can. They are to cut it from its tree and to keep it alive for the rest of their lives. There will reside their magic. Young Eldrid is tasked so when he goesby the age of 17. He finds his soon to be staff in a tree that practically calls to him. Ties a bell to it, a memento from his late mother, and swings it around, pouring his magic, and heart on to it. He doesn't yet know it, but a whole adventure awaits him.
