Pterodactl, Pturkadaktol, pterodactol

All mispellings of something that doesn't exist and all stated about flying animals called Pterosaurs which is a HUGELY diverse group of animals. People call every single member of the entire group as 'pterodactls',most commonly the Pteranodon The only animal with the name anywhere close to 'pterodactl' is Pterodactylus a small pterosaur.

A common mistake people do,is give the animal fingers inside the wing,like a bat. This is false, all pterosaurs' wing is made up of and is supported by a SINGLE finger, at the end.

They also do NOT have eagle-like feet,they have pretty flat feet that are not used for grabbing.

Pterosaurs (mostly) walk on all fours,and take off with a launching motion,not a running flap.

Pteranodon(in which it is commonly called pterodactol ) does not have a long tail ending in a spade, it has a short tail.
Pteranodon also does NOT have teeth, it's entire name 'Pteranodon' means toothless wing.

Pterosaurs,like Pteranodon, also were not scaled, but have fur-like structures

Pterosaurs were not dinosaurs

Pterosaurs have small bodies, and usually very large heads,not large bodies and small heads(usually). Pteranodon itself has a huge head compared to it's body


Pterosaurs' wings were not thin and see through like a bats', they were fairly thick with tissue,muscle,fuzz and skin, to keep it aloft. If it had thin skin like a bat's wings, they'd never be able to fly, as they dont have the extra fingers in the wing to support it like a bats'.
