Yep. After the first few days I just thought he was busy with work, as one of the managers had quit and he was saddled with all of her work. Then my birthday came and went... then it was a month later... and now it has been 6 months and he hasn't been online at all. At first, there was like, two times when he blipped onto MSN messenger for like, 5 seconds, but that could have been a mistake.

Have you like, tried to call him or anything? I'd like to believe he isn't a shithead and just has had IRL problems but damn, wtf?

We only ever used Skype to talk (since my long distance cost is astronomical) so no. I did send him lots of messages without a response. I'd go over there, but it costs me about $100 for the trip and I can't afford it. :P Oh well, if nothing bad happened to him and he could just walk away from me like that (after telling me that he loved me) then I guess he isn't really worth it. I just had really high hopes.

oh well, if he is actually a dickhole and isn't just going through whatever problems would cause someone to go through with that, then at least you got out of it before something worse happened.

That sounds kind of like what happened with my girlfriend about 10 years ago, though in her case it was more of a gradual phaseout of communication. I sent her one last e-mail saying that I wanted to hear something from her to know what was going on, and she never replied.
