Oh man, look at that fur! :D I learned so much with the piece I don't really know where to begin; CC gave me a fantastic starting scene that I ran with and thankfully he was on board with me the whole way. I got a ton more fur practice with this piece, as well as lighting and perspective experience. I actually tried for a slightly fish-eye type perspective as you can see with the rounded quality of the background. It was really fun to try, actually.
The character itself is a gray wolf with some brown in him, kind of a loner with some socially awkward tendencies. (So, basically, my kind of guy, heh.) The moth I based loosely off the robin moth, which is a really pretty little bug if you ever get the chance to see one. And so the work through my queue continues! I'm getting pretty close to done now, just a few more big images left. I hope they turn out as fabulous as this!
