Look, I know I've done this more than once before, but I've been thinking of this and hey, Alistair has NOT shown up in the comic yet, so I'm not breaking any "in-canon comic stuff" by altering his body.
I talked with my friend 9-Puzzle (I'm NOT going into details what the context was) and he said how he HATES it when there's an anthro avian and it does NOT have talons for feet (totally underlining how it's merely personal preference and not an objective thing). I said how Alistair, my character, is a Gryphon JUST because of the feet.... SERIOUSLY! I was so TERRIFIED of the idea of these talons for feet that I "chickened out" (sketch show comedy drums..... Chicken? Gryphon? Bird?) and did a gryphon, BUT with time, I discovered that certain artists DID pull off bird feet a way I love, so I thought.... hey, why not try?
2 versions:
-CURRENT- Left & Top Middle - The basic current design. I admit I changed his haircut and I also made him a bit chubby (I mean... weak&muscular, short&tall... why did I have no chubby character? I really should have one!!!). So yeah, he's basically a Gryphon chain smoker.
-NEW IDEA- Right & Bottom Middle - The new concept. Similar, but it's not a gryphon, instead it's a regular generic Avian. This means a more bird typical tail, no visible ears and also, the feet are bird like, but .... yeah anthro shaped ..... because otherwise I'd HATE IT!
So yep, I thought I'd show you this and ask what you people think... This time I underline that the end choice is mine and technically even if you all went with one option, I still could go with the other, but.... ya know, I still figured I'd ask and see what you people think.
Also while we're at it... PLEASE go and take part in my "best artwork voting" if you haven't..... PLEASE!!!!
