Hobs Concept Art - W.I.P.
I've been working on these two on and off for about three weeks now. This particular pair are named Eartha and Cynric. They are Hobs--in British folk tales, they are very much like Gnomes, and can be good, evil, or neutral. There is one particular story about a clan of Hobs that cured an entire village of the plague. I know that they share a strong resemblance to Tolkien's Hobbits, but I think you will find, in the name itself, that he may have been referencing these creatures.
"Hob" "Bit" Bit comes from a word that meant, 'half'. So, half Hob. :D
