At the risk of spoiling, I'm calling it- her bro's as big a demon-phobe as that other angel who attacked them back then; if he's not, then someone is his group would be. Kieri's worried if he, or someone in his group will greet the demon dating his sister with a sword. The two more tragic scenarios would be: he still freaks out and word gets back to their mother, or he see's Buwarro's star pendant, and thinks he stole it (you know where this one is going).
demons can't touch angle pendants, it hurts them if they do. its only because the charm was removed from Buwarro's pendant that he can wear it (same with the other two pendant's) so Kieri's bro will most likely be confused when he sees Buwarro wearing one, after his finished trying to attack him (depending on the circumstance).
Pages like this are why I read Slightly Damned. I can tell that this won't end happily.
Also, first time I noticed Buwaro and Kieri sleeping right next to each other. That alone says a lot about how close they've gotten over the past... What, year?
I can't really describe the feeling this page evokes, I think it's like the ice cream scenes in KH Days.

i almost forgot something...
...i'm kinda worried about bubu's pendants becoming separated from him again โ those strings look too flimsy, for the kind of activities that he and his cohorts tend to find themselves engaged in; at some point, will these pendants be affixed to kieri and buwaro in a more stable manner?
maybe even implanted?
considering their "world," it doesn't seem to be a far stretch that some sort of magic can be used to accomplish that.
