*is in the process of putting together a pyro cosplay for a con at the end of the month* :P looks great!

Thank you! Pyro actually wasn't super hard. I used a red mechanic jumpsuit for mine, because Arizona during the Summer in a rubber suit just didn't sound all that fun. And I used the grey Russian gasmask for two reasons, A) I already had it and B) It is identical to Foster's facade in game.

And I used jazzed up soda bottles as my Co2 thanks, I was one classy mother fucker if I do say so my self.

I'm using red coveralls as well, and I have the black GP-5 mask. I made a fake filter that I attatched to the side so it looks like Pyros as well. I'm trying to match the character as close as possible, so I'm making as many of the props as i can. so far I have the smoke grenades, mask filter, tank,pouch, and the flamethrower almost done. I decided to turn the tank into a functioning backpack, so I split two soda bottles and made a hinge with duct tape. once i get a few more things put together, I'll take a pic of everything. oh yeah, I also made a respectless rubber glove hat :P I can't wait till everything is put together.

Well I didn't have much time sadly, so instead of having the belt with flairs I made the brokers scarf which cancels that belt. I tried to make a lollichop to go with because I'm not exactly a building champ, but I ran out of time :c So I bought a lot of dumdums and passed them out at the con.

We can be classy Pyro bros with hats. 8D I had to have a Max's Severed head because It's my favorite hat in game

I was thinking about making a lollichop or axtinguisher, but i was able to find parts to make a flamethrower so im doing that. I'm thinking about making the matchbook shown at the beginning of MtP just for the hell of it as well :P I've still got some time left so im trying to get as much done as i can, I want my first cosplay to look great! the repectless rubber glove and prancers pride are my two favorite hats; I actually just recently got an Unusual Prancers pride XP I may end up making a real prancers pride for my cosplay since it wouldnt be too hard

Ah I bet yours turns out better than mine! I need to figure out what cosplay to do next, I'm thinking Heavy or Demoman, leaning more towards Heavy. I would cosplay as Sniper, BUUUUT as you can see I would make a awful Sniper

I thought about doing sniper, but he's pretty overdone and Im pretty sure I wouldnt make a good sniper either XP I'm thinking about doing Medic next time, eventhough I very rarely play as him. I'm hoping my pyro turns out ok, a good portion of the costume is handmade so hopefully they dont look too off from the game

Yeah Sniper and Scout are the most done, but Snipes is my favorite video game character of like all flippin' time. But short fat people just can't rock the sniper, or at least this guy can't lol. I've already cosplayed as Engineer and Soldier, and I've done other cosplays before those two, so I have some experience.

Cosplay is so much fun, for me going to a con is like my birthday or something lol.

I hate to say that certain people shouldnt cosplay as some characters, but sniper is one that you definitely need a similar body type to pull off decently. on that note, have you seen the cosplayer, Citadels, sniper? http://www.cosplay.com/costume/342055/ he's one of the best snipers I've seen, he even looks similar to the character!
I've always enjoyed dressing up in various costume pieces, but this will be my first full cosplay and convention so I'm going all out with it; even down to adding the scorching on the suit legs and tinting the masks lenses :P

I have seen him! My lord I'm like his creeper from afar. XD Creepy enough to think YOU WILL BE MINE ONE DAY, but not creepy enough to say it out loud. WHOOPS

And I agree, sniper takes a certain kind of body type, same as Spy. But I've cosplayed as stick characters before. Like I've cosplayed Marth from SSBB. But I think it all really depends on the clothing. Like soldier, he wears baggy clothes same as engineer, so I think anyone can cosplay as those characters. But like skimpy anime girls, like true form Midna or something, some one my size shouldn't even consider cosplaying one of them, but I beilive in hiding all my skin besides my arms and such.

pretty sure all sniper cosplay fans have joined the Citadel creeper club XD he's just perfect for the character.

yeah, I'm fine with bigger people cosplaying small characters, but for it to look right some characters need to have similar sized cosplayers.
Pyro is perfect for me, even height-wise (somewhere someone actually came up with the characters heights, engie and pyro being the shortest). since the costume is baggy and not form fitting, my size isnt a big problem either.

Well Pyro's are chubsters, but something anyone and cosplay. Pyros and engineer's are both adorable. Abubu I want to hold all the pyros and Engineers in the world. But nearly all the tf2 characters are universally cosplayable accept snipes and spy.
