I'm not sure if the post-dart realisation of what happened helps the flow, but then the end does work ... as you can see by my reaction. So if you don't continue this piece and let me know what's coming next, I will come over there and bite you.

I kind of meant the dart to be a bit of a speed bump in the story, I thought it would help give an idea of how much of a mental change occurred. I’m not sure if I’m explaining that too well.

Oh and biting is not allowed. *looks around for support or protection…

Hah! I was immediately reminded of that story upon reading this one, and I enjoyed both quite a bit. Interesting use of the prompt.

I actually started with that point as the inspiration and wrote backwards this time. A very odd and awkward way of writing to me. Glad it brought shudders to someone other than me.

Wow, that is kind of... sad. I am guessing that the character is some sort of cat?

By the way, I envy you. I cannot write from first person well at all.

Thanks. First person is fairly easy now that I’ve done it so much, practice and all that. Third person I still feel shaky with though so don’t feel too bad.

This is a nice continuation to your previous story. That was a tense little moment when the dart hit the character. The mention of an infection also made me wonder what was going on that caused the character to be in the condition that he or she is in.

Interesting. Strong. Again very riveting story, much tension in this tale. Great short story, I enjoyed reading this.
