it's very cute! and i don't see anything wrong with it...the best thing to remember about shading and highlighting is to think about where the light is coming from, and anything facing it would be brighter, with curves and points highlighted, and everything facing away from the light would be in the shade, and darker, with the parts that are most out of the light being the darkest.
