Compliments of Lilredfoxie.
Uh oh, looks like Hextor exerted his powers when we were putting this together! Not content just with three influences, he demanded four!
Plus, the pastel pink and purples were unfit to stand behind him, or so he said.
Going down the list...
Raiden is an influence given his start as a god who, according to Japanese mythology, was the god of thunder and lightening and devoured the stomachs of children in their sleep. Turning a new leaf, Raiden was humbled and became Earth's greatest defender. While he's immaterial, like Hextor, he has to project into a mortal form to interact with the mortal realm.
Q's influence should be obvious. Rather full of himself, Hextor and Q would get along great in their persistent meddling with and pissing off mortals for either their own personal amusement or to manipulate a desired outcome. While mysterious in nature and unknowable, Hextor shares Q's fondness for attachments to certain mortals.
The Trickster from Supernatural, like Hextor, has a sweet tooth and loves poetic justice in the form of suitable punishments for the wicked. Though this was only after Hextor was cast down into mortal form by the All-God to live a century of life as a mortal, becoming the god of fertility of the field and the hearth as well as a spirit of punishment of the deserving.
The Djinn of Arabian lore and Hextor share much in common. Like Hextor, they were cast out of paradise by God and forced to live as spirits of energy and heat. They are masters of deception and will, if it amuses them, help mortals. But more often, they meddle with mortal lives for their own pleasure and amusement.
