Iwigu was originally a human, and I actually made a human design for him. I began to dislike him as a human though, and decided to try him out as a bull.
Iwigu was conceived as an opposite to the human characters who tend to forsake their humanity, and embrace an alien culture, generally with little reason or paper-thin character development. Iwigu is meant as an opposite to the Jake Sullys, the Lemuel Gullivers.
For that reason, Iwigu was originally a human in design. He’s always been very muscular (he considers his body a temple, that sort of thing), and always had the yellow as a signature color. His nationality is Greek, and his characters generally draw a lot of influence from Spartans or Greek mythology. The bull then works, as bulls were a big part of Greek culture. Brazen bulls are a good reference as well.
Being so pro-human, his characters can either be white knights or raging xenophobs. In the worst situations, his characters tend to be racists, or if dealing with humans very pro-human (like Cerberus from Mass Effect), and view anyone different than him as trash. In better portrayals, he’s a rebel who is willing to fight for his own people, and will suplex a pompous, arrogant talking horse through a table.
Iwigu belongs to me.
