So I've taken my first stab at building a fursuit for myself. =D I'm quite pleased with the results so far. Yes, I have more photos, but this is the best of the construction pics so far. The fur the head is sitting on will be what it's covered with eventually. ^_^

Walmart, actually. They had pink and black claw-footed slippers (and slippers that looked like shoes, which I love). I got a set of each. I actually intend to recover the black set of claw slippers with purple fur, because I've got plans for a second, purple fursuit built along similar lines as Carnation.
