I'm wrapped up in a blanket, sitting downstairs grumbling as once again I reach for the box of tissues, running nose and cold paws are all that this season has in store for me. However this is far from a first, as much as I dislike it, it gives me the time to become something more, far quicker than usual, I sit watching the gentle flicker of my television, the white noise stops, quickening it's shapes against familiar eyes as I press on the SNES, oh these sounds so old, flourish in my head as days long past play back in my mind.

Summer puts me down for as long as it can, but in that time I become the hero of old, I command troops unstoppable, I save the prince; forget the princess, this is my game. I burn rubber down the streets of Vegas, I return control to the rightful faction, and from time to time, I stop time to find a suitable meal for which to recharge and do it all again.

Summer Sucks, but I swear to you, I'll conquer you eventually, you see unlike you, I can do this all year 'round.
