Here is another fossil necklace made using a small orthoceras and a pair of buffalo teeth. The beads are all bone, some are painted black using india ink.
Othoceras is a extinct cephalopod. It's name means "First horn" which refers to it's straight shell. It is closely related to ammonite, ancestor of the nautilus.
This one is on a cord with a clasp closure, it is about 17 inches long, but can be adjusted if needed.

Yeah, that's one of the issues. It's like 20 cents (USD) every 4 months, I think. Then there's a percentage nipped out of the profit. It's mostly great for the exposure... when I started selling on Etsy I thought I'd mostly attract people from DA or FA or something, but the huge majority of my sales and views are from people on Etsy itself. So if you get some extra dough to set up some listings, I would suggest it!
