Since Halloween is coming up, I thought I'd post this photo I took a few years ago. It's a real pumpkin, though a little on the small side. I painted it up like Saara Mar's head and sat it on my old TV until it began to get a little soft and threw it away out of respect for its namesake. (She wouldn't apprecaite me saying her head got a little soft, either.)

The next few photos are all of a statuette of Saara made in 1994 by Rubin Avila. Todd Sutherland took the pictures during a session at my place earlier this year.

Finishing this series of posts is a bookend to this piece, a pumpkin head of Beatrix.
