Freya arrives to her beloved home only to find it in ruin... houses were sacked and looted, many Burmecians lie dead or dying in the streets, including military and police personnel, the the city of eternal rain's streets running red with the blood of her companions. Thrown into a fit of rage and sorrow, Freya enters the city, tears flowing fresh from her eyes, like rain, while she fought her way through her enemies with the fury of the storm that loomed overhead.

The enemies of her beloved home would pay dearly for their cruelty, she vowed, and with her spear, she would cut down foe after foe until none of them were left...

Like the crackle of thunder, a lone battle cry could be heard from the heart of the city...

"For Burmecia!!"

Oy, I put a lot into this one, and I love it... first bit of fanart I've drawn in a long long time. The shading I was excited about for a while but in the end it wound up feeling tedious to me, just a bit. I tried my best not to take any shortcuts with this one and I hope you enjoy this piece as much as I enjoyed toying with it. I gave our burmecian a new set of armor and a shiny new spear, while trying to make it look similar to her other set on FF9... hope its alright, I dont do armor too often.
