rogers (as i’ve mentioned before) are a xenophobic species of aliens who abhor individualism. as such, the thought of wearing attention-grabbing clothing like a guard uniform is a less than desirable job requirement. the result is that the guards are usually split two ways - people who absolutely hate their job and hate the aliens they must deal with in their job, and people who are a little odd and quirky and might leave the planet some day because they kind of LIKE these aliens. not that they’d ever let their fellow rogers hear about that…

general guard equipment is simple and utiliatrian. the ‘kilt’ is really more just to provide storage than anything. the bracer is a wrist mounted computer but also functions as a life monitor, ID display and is capable of generating a small sheild (similar to bubble dome tech, but limited only to a riot shield size/shape) for a limited period of time.

the glasses take the place of those obnoxious TSA scanners…but mostly do the same thing. they also enable AR ID checks and can analyze the air for trace elements of contraband.

the energy gun is a prototype, and has yet to be exported off of Rojeria. it can stun or kill, depending on the setting. most are set to stun as a default. they’re more for intimidation factor than actual usage.

the collar is just a status symbol - it shows they are, in fact, an official guard.
