It's a touching and heartwarming moment. Oswald and Ortensia thought they were the only two characters left from the Oswald the Lucky Rabbit series left, at least from the 1927-1931 era until they reunited with Oswald's first love interest, Fanny Cottontail and Ortensia's nephew, Homer.
