Today is my good friend's
hatchday! He have been so nice to me and even now he is! Once back in a while I made a sketch of this before, but I continued it all behidn the scenes ;)
Also I owe a big thank you for
because she helped me in some details and skills and all the likes! "Thank you, Gaia! <3" as I've hid this on one of the branch too. ;>

This picture is totally awesome and truly epic! BIRD WING HUGS!
The barn owl is really serene in the picture. Very gentle, caring and loving. (I've worked with barn owls in the past. They can be feisty creatures iRL!)
The affection displayed between the barn owl and the hooded crow is warm and touching. Your leafy green background is wonderfully done and provides a nice contrast to the brown & white barn owl and the black & white hooded crow.
Amazing artwork, Jackrow! It was a pleasure running into this picture tonight!

Hi Jackrow!
Sadly, I had no experience working with crows. I volunteered at a raptor rehabilitation centre where the primary focus was on the birds of prey. We didn't see any injured crows. (Lots of other injured birds, like hawks, turkey vultures and owls.)
The barn owl I'm thinking of didn't really like me. She made herself big by doing the "barn owl dance" (a gesture where the barn owl raises her wings to both sides and lowers her head down to the ground, clacking her beak and shifting her head from one side to another. Sometimes, I think she was giving me the evil eye!) Anyways, this barn owl would put on a threatening display whenever I was around. At times, she would try to attack my sneakers whenever I approached her in the mews (the barn owl was tethered to a perch inside of a wooden housing unit).
If you're fond of barn owls, I should share some of my photos with you that I took at that raptor rehab centre. I got this one cool perspective of looking UP at the barn owl (a "mouse's point of view"). It was really cool to photograph the barn owl from grass level! Blades of grass was sticking up with the barn owl looming overhead.
