Spyro Baddies: Year of the Dragon
I've started a fun little side project where I'm "reimagining" my favorite enemies from the PS1 Spyro games. Part homage, part character design practice, lots of fun.
Here's the first batch, all from the third game, Spyro: Year of the Dragon.
Going clockwise, we have the mammoth from Frozen Alters, crystal bear from Crystal Islands, Gator from Spooky Swamp, flying monster from Enchanted Towers, Buzz from Buzz's Dungeon, and the t-rex cowboy from Dino Mines.
You can check out the individual drawings compared to their polygonal predecessors here at my art blog under tagged under #Spyro Baddies.
(Pleaaaase no requests/asking what I'm going to do next. I already have a set list of what I'll be drawing, and I like keeping the posts a surprise.)

Gosh these are all so amazing! I never expected to see this ever and I had always wanted to commission something like this, the Spyro series was so great and not many people take time to appreciate and/or draw the baddies in it.
I have to say though, and this is just a little childhood memory here, but as a kid I was always TERRIFIED of Buzz, the monster itself never scared me, it was the saw noise you heard as it chased you down, always right behind you and you knew if you stopped or turned wrong you were boned.
