It's okay, everybody has picked up a ruler or broomstick and pretended it's a rapier. (Toad-sticker as my friend put it. A fencing sword thing I believe)

Rapier=toad-sticker, yes.
But the three "fencing" swords are foil, epee, and sabre. each is a bit different, and is scored/targeted differently as well.

While I realize the absurdity of concern over technical accuracy in regards to a drawn image of a mythological species (and one engaging in a flight of fancy as a fencer), when I saw the thumbnail my first thought was that there should be some kind of padding or other covering for the horn, even if Olympic fencing doesn't have "headbutt" as a viable move option.

IIRC, it was Neysa who Stile sparred with in Piers Anthony's Apprentice Adept series. Was a short scene, but when I saw this, it brought back memories.

used to do Fencing in my youth.
never really liked the Foil, more of a Epee or Saber player my self.

got the gear right for it too.
