How does one even yarn tail anyway? XD

With a lot of free time, patience, and Dr. Who.

I have time, I have more patience than anyone in my house, and greetings fellow whovian. (I think that's the word)
I'm attempting my own yarn tail and so far it sucks and looks like an angel tail. XD

....angels have tails?

In my beliefs they do. Very long story and it's hard to explain. In short, it looks like an albino lions tail, or a unicorns tail. That's easier to explain. XD

What method are you using and what yarn? The type of yarn used is very important.

Well, I'm just doing this to get rid of yarn I have.
A french braid rope thingy I put a wire in the middle of. Cheap white yarn.
Wrapped the yarn around something. Cut it. Tied the middle of bunches of fives. Sewing it onto the core from the center. \.-./ I have no clue what I'm doing. When I'm making one when I DO know what I'm doing, I'm going to get amazing yarn and make a better one. This is just practice.

There are a lot of tutorials out there on the interwebs for you to watch. You tube has more video options on fursuit and yarn tail making than you might think.
Agent Blayze and I both use Simply Soft, which depending on where you can get it can be a bit expensive, but worth the cost.I'm trying some of the I Love This Yarn! brand which I think will work out fine.
If you want a visual idea of how awesome these can turn out, look for the work of Bir or Ziaki.

I think I may just go to a yarn store or sumthin and pick the softest yarn. This yarn sucked anyway and this is just to get rid of it. XD Thanks for the recommendations though. :3
