Potassium is a big lug with the appearance of a sasquatch and a mysterious past. He starts off as a member of the Synvasion force, trying to prevent Hydrogen from reaching one of their bases in the outskirts of Minimus City, using his strength and other enemies as weapons to get the job done. However, after his loss, he humbly decides to help Hydro reach his next destination.
Potassium doesn’t become playable until later on in the story, where he finally sees the error of his ways and decides to become a member of the MPA as well. Since he is the largest and heaviest character, he is undoubtedly the slowest. However, his amazing strength can make up for it. Not only can he punch enemies into submission, he can pick them up and use them to clear away groups of baddies with one swing, suplex, or a mighty piledriver. Those of you who’ve played Wario World will get the idea. He can even break open new pathways that other elements can’t get through. So Potassium has to be sure to find any cracks in walls or floors. Because Potassium is an alkaline element, staying in water for too long without any protective armor will eventually cause him to disintegrate! Even if he did have armor, he’d sink right down to the bottom. That can be advantageous, however, when trying to open new paths underwater.
