Quick doodle thrown together due to boredom XD Was ment to be an experiment with my new markers, but I changed my mind after finishing the outer lines, being afraid I would mess it up as I have never used markers before for coloring, so I choosed to go with my traditional way of doing realistic horses. Nothing speciel, just another quick doodle.
Im not happy about the eye, I so totally screwed it up, again -.- I suck at eyes... and mane I overdid a bit, its too thick.. but beside of that Im rather happy about how the shadings came out this time, especially on the muzzle and cheek
Tools used: Usual mechanical 0.5 pencil
Time taken: 1 - 1½ hour or so

This is seriously amazing as.. the realism in this picture it just absolutely outstanding! And to think this was done in mechanical pencil? That's just truly amazing! I mean the anatomy of the face is just.. superb! And the shading? Just...my GOD.

And yes, was done with a mechanical pencil, which is my prefered pencil type XD I do know how to draw with real old fashioned pencils but hornestly I hate using them.. I prefer the machanical pencil because they stay sharp all the time and has a much more comfetable grip handle or what ever you can call it
