I currently have them at about 1000x600 pixels, but I can make them any size you want. I imagine you could print it on a full size sheet of paper to go in a binder without losing any quality, but it would work best on a 4x6" notecard size so as not to look ridiculous hanging around your neck. (or smaller, depending on the size of the wearer. I'm tiny, so I always print my badges 2x4.)
