I have no idea why on earth I hadn't uploaded this before... I made this thing freakin forever ago (I'm going to guess probably 2 to 5 years ago), and although it has a lot of flaws, I'm still really proud of it.
Plexiglass front and sides, mirror-finish back and bottom, faux wood trim borders, faux grass lift-off top (with various decorations on it as in the photo), and a battery-powered LED lighting system underneath the lift-off part of the lid. This is sitting on my 6-foot fold-in-half table, and if you'll notice the table seam beneath it, this thing is clearly just over 3 feet long. It's roughly a foot tall, maybe a bit less, and probably 8 inches wide. It doesn't weigh much, it's just big.
Originally, I pulled the idea for this out of my imagination, with no real plans or forethought involved, so I goofed it up a few times, and it cost me... maybe $50+ to make it, but it was a custom size for my fiance's bookshelf so he could put his final fantasy figurines in it (pictured here and here before he got the case for them) and his Warhammer figures on top of it.
In the past, I stated I wouldn't want to make these for commission, but thinking more on it, if I could make an actual design plan ahead of time (instead of throwing it together right before christmas), it might not be so bad. Shipping is surprisingly low. I think it's about $15 for this one.
