Nothin’ but a skull with some flesh and skin stretched across it. All mottled and dark like somethin’ that should be dead but Hell itself spat it back out. No eyes, no nose, not even any lips, but somehow it still found us, it followed us, I don’t know how and I don’t WANNA know how, but it did. It had a hand… claws the size o’ daggers, just like the hands o’ one o’ those cryin’ bitches, and I watched it tear apart seven men like they were made o’ tissue paper. I barely got away with my life. It was a smart fucker, smarter than the average zombie, that’s for sure, faster, too… but I was smarter, and faster. Or maybe just damn lucky. I got away, though, and I’ll bet I was the only one who ever did. I don’t think I’ll ever get the howl it made outta my head…

I know what they call ‘em. Hunters. The ones that jump n’ pounce n’ scream like banshees. But that wasn’t any ol’ regular Hunter. I don’t even think it was ever even HUMAN. I don’t believe that, not after what I saw.

That thing was a goddamn DEMON.”

So I realized I’ve never drawn my other not-quite-finalized Hunter Grim seriously before so I did, lol.

He’s basically just my interpretation of an “alpha/boss” Hunter, either one of the first in existence or just some unlucky fellow who’s body hyper-reacted to the Green Flu, real mean and vicious and feral, brighter than the in-game ones but not as smart as, say, Hy.

He’s fiercely territorial and seems to think he’s king of the Infected, and will go out of his way to exterminate all Special Infected in a given area to get rid of any competition (especially other Hunters, he fucking hates other Hunters).

He’s got that big scary clawed hand (the “reaper’s scythe” I like to call it) but it’s very painful and stiff and makes it hard for him to climb and grip things so it’s only good for clawing.

He’s also dumb as hell and pretty easy to outsmart, he’s bright enough to have a sense of self-preservation and make very basic plans but tends to get easily frustrated and enraged which makes him totally lose control...
