I read at some websites a trap using some wine, cutting the top off the soda bottle in order to make a funnel, then when the flies go in they can't go out.

I also tried the drain cleaner method, as they can live in the drains and I noticed some in the drains.

and my mate and i had a bull fly prob a bout a month or so back when a neighbor tenant died in his apartment....so usually it just takes a bit of time and keeping teh house fresh :D

ahh, these bull flies are problematic?

bull flies come after a dead corpse has been decaying for so long(our recluse neighbor having been dead fora few weeks before anyone found him.....recluse....hehe), they lay there eggs and the like in floors walls etc, and just keep moving around....was funny that all but the far end two apartments in our complex got those things XD....we had our poojavi(sp?) lady in one of the apartments going to everyone's places asking if they needed help killing the flies XD lol

ahh, it is Punjabi, eww, the smell must have been just awful.

my advice is just hunt em all down and bug bomb 'em all though >:) then ya wont have em for too long :D heehee....just make sure ya get all pets to stay out for three hours too so they dont get poisoned as well XD

I will see about the wine traps, it may be time to send the empties back to the beer store (Canadian)

no its ok hehe, I will do some serious cleaning up around here, I know there are some pears that are a bit ripe in the fridge so I may toss them.

flies have been a problem at my moms house. since i go a week at my dad's and a week at my mom's, my mom is only there when we are, so something will sit out accidentally and rot and decay, then the flies will have a party

Yep they have since been a problem for about two or three weeks, tomorrow I am going to clean everything up like crazy, toss out the over ripe fruit in the fridge and see if I can make a fruit fly trap when I get another soda bottle.

Yep, I don't have too many problems with house flies that do that, when my cat gets the opportunity she will eat the house flies.
